I set up some mood lighting for the first #ttrpg session I’m hosting. I’m looking forward to playing #Quest with my friends.

Call me a big nerd, but I’m hosting my first #ttrpg tomorrow and I’m so excited that I got the table ready a whole 16 hours early. We’ve got three players with no experience and two with minimal experience, so we went with #Quest by the #AdventureGuild for its low barrier of entry and general chill vibe. I’m looking forward to running my first game!

As a kid, I was obsessed with the #xmen cartoon, and as an adult, I’m obsessed with the Krakoa-era X-Men #comics, so I thought this would be perfect. It reminded me of when my sister was pregnant and only craved poptarts and cookie dough ice cream. When I discovered cookie dough poptarts at the grocery, I excitedly bought them, only for her to tell me “just because two things are good separately doesn’t mean they’ll be good together.” It’s a lesson I’ll never learn.

Played a quick game of #CampyCreatures with my wife tonight. It’s a very quick and easy game centering on bluffing and deduction with fun retro #horror and #sciencefiction artwork. She won. What #boardgames are you playing tonight?

#boardgamers! What’s a #boardgame from recent memory that you played for the first time and enjoyed? I’ll go first. I recently played #Overboss, the #BossMonster spin-off, with a friend and his son and I loved it. It’s a tile placement game wherein you compete to build the best video game overworld. It’s a well-balance family game that’s quick to set up and easy to play. What #boardgames are you excited about?
