Terry Moran worked at ABC for 28 years. Then, within moments of calling Stephen Miller “hateful,” (which he absolutely is if you listen to his own family), ABC fired him under pressure of an authoritarian hypocrite who ran on “free speech.” The chilling effect this will have on other journalists cannot be ignored. Today, authoritarianism advanced, and the Fourth Estate miserably failed.

While I’m between jobs, I’d been thinking maybe I’d switch my games PC off Windows over to Linux.

Then I thought that seemed like a big hassle, and maybe I wouldn’t.

I’ve booted up Windows this morning to do some basic life admin, though, and I think that’s decided me.
Linux it is.

For many years I have experienced WWDC with a low-intensity dread. To some extent this is not even really Apple's fault. There's not really much they can do to make me enjoy my computer more, but there's a lot that they can fuck up, and there's a lot of pressure on them to change lots of things, so they have to roll these dice that are biased against them many, many times.

But you know, right now the most important thing for Humanity is to develop Artificial Intelligence and global surveillance and go to Mars! /s

Between jobs, day 1: the euphoria sets in. The weight of 6 continuous years of fucks given, suddenly lifted.

I’ve spent the morning so far listening to the New Pornographers and dancing in the shower.

Next up I’m thinking I’ll take the dog for a five km walk 😁

Lately I've noticed an almost cult-like mentality among stopped clock deniers. And if you had asked me six hours ago, I would've agreed with them—that clock was literally as wrong as it can possibly be. But if you're not looking at that clock right this moment,
Our stopped clock technology is still in its infancy, but it's already reached an accuracy rate of two or more times per day, and there's no reason for us to believe that won't improve dramatically in the future
