I'm a little verklempt at seeing how Jess Minnier has continued the #rstats Programming Class we developed together.

Especially seeing the course reviews and seeing something I helped start continue on and be helpful to the students:

Course Reviews | R Programming

Below are some selected reviews and comments from students in the course. I have left them anonymous. Ted was so clear, patient and approachable and really did a wonderful job making sure we understood every line of code we were writing. I’m no pro at R now but I definitely have an excellent foundation upon which to build and I feel like I enjoy it so much more.

One tip: the JS console is your friend - it will help you debug your apps when they're not working.

Wow. Shinylive for #rstats is so cool. Amazing this runs in the browser with ggplot2 plotting.

Oldie but goodie: the first #Shiny #Rstats App I ever built: https://tladeras.shinyapps.io/surrogateShiny/

It helps biologists explore network based clusters of genomic alterations (mutations/copy number).

It uses some outdated packages such as {ggvis} for tooltips, but still runs on shinyapps.io.

Just don't ask me to redploy it.

@maelle I know you linked to them, but the whole `usethis::pr_*()` family is 🥇
pr_init() (cleanly start)
pr_pause() (work on something else in this repo)
pr_resume() (after pr_pausing)
pr_push() (push your work/create the actual remote PR)
pr_finish() (clean up when you're done)
pr_forget() (clean up something you won't finish)
pr_fetch() (get someone else's work for editing or review)
pr_merge_main() (merge main into what you're working on)

Very excited to be a part of this Observable panel with @allison_horst & @deepsha !

Honestly, this is mostly an excuse for me to spend more time geeking out about data viz with two of my favorite people. Humbled to share the same space with these talented women.

Look forward to chatting, hope to see you there 🙂

In this #TidyTuesday screencast, learn how to find bootstrap confidence intervals with Poisson regression for how many times Roy Kent says "F*CK" per episode of Ted Lasso! 🤬

I learned how to bleep myself for this screencast!!!
