New to Mastodon and taking my time settling in. This place feels different — slower, more intentional. I appreciate that.
A few things I believe in when it comes to being here:
• Boosts over likes. If something is worth reading, it's worth sharing.
• Alt text on images. Accessibility matters.
• Content warnings when needed. Give people the choice to engage.
I'm not here to chase numbers. I'm here to find thoughtful people, share a bit of my own thoughts, and see what grows from?

I've spent enough years on platforms built to keep me scrolling. Algorithms optimizing for outrage. Feeds designed to hold attention hostage. I'm tired of being the product.
I've been watching Mastodon from a distance for a while, and I finally decided to step in. There's something about this place that feels different from other social spaces and I mean that in a good way.
There's no algorithm trying to keep me hooked. No ads slipping into my feed. Just people, posting what matters to them, connecting because they want to not because some system decided they should.
I like that.
