I've been watching Mastodon from a distance for a while, and I finally decided to step in. There's something about this place that feels different from other social spaces and I mean that in a good way.

There's no algorithm trying to keep me hooked. No ads slipping into my feed. Just people, posting what matters to them, connecting because they want to not because some system decided they should.

I like that.
