Project Hail Mary is a must see for any sci-fi fans! It really is the horrifying and hopeful side sci-fi all at once. My mouth fell open. I gasped. I cried. I shouted in fear and triumph. I love that it made me think, it made me wonder, it made me marvel, it made me curious. Science fiction was meant for this! I will say something that only makes sense if you watch it. Two thumbs down! 👎👎#ProjectHailMary #Forkiverse #scfi #scifimovie #sciencefiction

@pj @Casey @kevin thanks for the Forkiverse episodes of the podcast. It's made me appreciate the fediverse more. If I can figure out having a Mastodon and a Forkiverse account, maybe I'll join Forkiverse directly
@MeiLin personally I use AntennaPod and it's fine, but it doesn't skip ads baked into the podcasts if that's what youre asking for. It is otherwise ad-free. I woukd recommend you check out the F-Droid app store and look at the podcast section. There's not a ton, but they are all FOSS and F-droid will let you know if they do anything you don't like such as using proprietary code
@kitty thank you, I will check them out. If you haven't, check out Tengger Cavalry. I recommend their song War Horse
@kitty I'm not in the forkiverse but I found it thru Search Engine and was already on Mastodon so I have been poking in and out. I am a metalhead 🤘 I like power, folk, and symphonic mostly but other subgenres come into my playlists sometimes. What bands and/or songs do you listen to?

The 3-question privacy test:

1. Is it open source?
2. Has it been audited?
3. Do security experts trust it?

3 YES = Probably trustworthy
0-2 YES = Don't trust this app

You don't need to understand encryption.
You just need to know what questions to ask.

@girlonthenet oh my god that's actually so nice. I was totally prepared for a snarky dunk, but I'm so glad this isn't
@deviantollam I really appreciate your time. Threw my hat in the ring anyway. We'll see how it goes.
@deviantollam hey I know you're busy but I immediately thought of you when this happened. I got a recruiter asking me to apply to be a field technician for a safe company called Cennox. I am not familiar with them but I was interested in joining the field and I was wondering if you know of any red flaga w/ them. Thanks for your time.
