At a bit of a crossroads as Twitter turns into X. Do I abandon it for Mastodon, or try Threads once it has a web version and the other annoyances get ironed out? I refuse to do Bluesky because Jack may as well be Eloon. What to do?

So over on that other site, I noticed the blue ticks for actual verified accounts had returned, but it turns out it's the 8dollars browser add-on making them visible again. So it's easy to see who's legitimately verified Vs Elon fanbois.
