This holiday, like every one before it, I’ve reorganised my desk, sorted through emails and have a set of plans and goals for the new year.
Sadly, every other bugger has done exactly the same so on Jan 3rd my careful plans will be buried under the demands of everyone else’s new focus and productivity.
@Mark I took delivery of a new Merc CLA this year for a team member. Took me almost 10 minutes to figure out how to move the damned thing. Handbrake is a hidden button and the gears are on a not very obvious stalk.
He laughed when I told him - then took even longer himself. He later admitted that it took him a week to figure out that the handbrake wasn’t automatic - only Park on the gearbox had been saving him.
Today is “new desk” day and for a 50+ adult I am ridiculously excited.
I’ve spent almost a month decorating our living room so it can be a nice evening room and half of it my new office.
I’m not great at actually finishing stuff but I’m actually pretty close to doing this…
Well done to Miele for sorting out our washer. The door glass broke (less than 3 years old) and after nearly three weeks and two cancelled engineer visits I got grumpy with them.
Fair play, they shipped us a brand new, higher spec, machine. They delivered, installed and removed the old one, all without charge.
@r1chardb @leighwphotos I have my PEN F in mono which means the viewfinder is mono and that’s how I shoot. The RAW, of course, is still colour so when I process in Lightroom I can choose what sort of B&W I want it to be.
Haven’t had the cash or the bravery to go full on Leica Mono yet!
