Today is a good day to remember Peter Norman the Australian sprinter, who wore the badge of the Olympic Project for Human Rights whilst standing in solidarity with fellow athletes John Carlos & Tommie Smith as they gave the Black Power salute at the 1968 Olympics.
That's what principles look like, England. That is what being an ally is. Peter Norman faced the consequences. The FA and the English team have behaved shamefully. Utter moral cowardice.
