@paulk The docs on changing the vault location are here: https://doc.anytype.io/anytype-docs/advanced/feature-list-by-platform/other-features#custom-storage-location

I've migrated most of my personal Notion usage to Anytype, for which I self-host the backup/sync node. Save from a few hiccups, I'm really happy with it. The team has been steadily improving it for years!

The latest #Anytype Desktop release is a banger! https://community.anytype.io/t/anytype-desktop-0-54-0-focus-flow/30076

Tabs, complex filters & toggle headings. Three major features I was missing from Notion.

Anytype Desktop 0.54.0 – Focus & Flow

This release brings several highly requested additions. Tabs let you work with multiple objects in the same window, Filters have been redesigned with cleaner controls and more advanced logic, and you can now search through chats to find past messages. Also included are toggled headings, dynamic filter values, channel ownership transfer, and a range of refinements across the app. Tabs One of the most requested features is here. @katexochen Adding another one: Velvet Coffee in the center https://www.cafevelvet.co/pages/cafe

The place is super small and does not really have seating for groups, but the owners *love* to take their time to prepare your drink and explain their process/options. They do their own direct trade & coffee exporting from Colombia.

Cafe

Velvet's quality is that of speciality coffee. The growing market of speciality coffee is raising the bar of what consumers consider 'good coffee' and Cafe Velvet is proud to be at the forefront of this movement.

@jncn asking without having checked: is Apple using GenAI to automatically make icons look “glassy” almost everywhere? My iPhone 11 Pro is still on iOS 18, but I’m seeing so many of these icons since the 26 release. I thought at first these were provided by developers, this makes it look like an uninvited feature rather than a bug.

I'm usually enjoying reading Open Source stories from @bagder but this time, it's up to me to tell you a story. Double check you are seated before reading it.

Ground control to Major Trial

When a $130M aerospace company chooses to endlessly abuse free trials instead of typing git pull, you start to question gravity, or at least common sense.

@grooovinger I was attending virtually 🙂 Hopefully I'll have the chance to travel out next time!

I feel a little bit of FOMO for not being on Bluesky, but at the same time, I think one microblogging platform is enough for the moment.

@grooovinger I was caught off guard by how many references there were to Bluesky during #sveltesummit25 last week. It was the default. There were very few X or Mastodon references.

I've seen lots of Bluesky scepticism on the fediverse, but for now, it seems to have quickly won over a majority of this community, at least.

@johnonolan congrats on the milestones! People watching #FediHire may be interested.
