I'm not suggesting that we should do without smart phones, but how were the pumps regulated prior to the pocket computer era?
Were they tied to the vendors sensors or was it just constant monitoring, through stabbing for levels?

Jan Penfrat#Fairphone|s are not supposed to be waterproof (because #repairability requires to not seal the device with glue I guess?).
Yet, yesterday I accidentally dropped my @Fairphone 6 into 40cm deep water, then noticed I lost it, called it (it rang!) and pulled it out a few minutes later.
I was able to unlock and switch off the device, picked up a screw driver and took it apart (which is easy). Turns out only minimal amounts of humidity had entered through the SIM card slot & speaker. 💦 ♥️
