Good bye Pleroma, hello GoToSocial. 🔜 Good bye domain for federation.

By setting up #GoToSocial here, it seems like I have "burned" this domain 🔥 and now cannot interact with former followers and with the people I have followed in #Pleroma. As I can't go back due to high memory consumption 📈 , I re-activated my account @[email protected]. 🔙

Good Buy #Pleroma. I'll start migration, as announced lately.

Thanks for about a half year of service and a good time exploring the #Fediverse with my 1st single-user instance.

Now it's time to #GoToSocial and see how this other software works out. I'm curious. 🤓

Dear followers,

due to limited resources at my shared hosting @ubernauten I need to close this single-user #Pleroma instance. ⚠️

There's a lightweight alternative alpha software available @[email protected] that I'll try to migrate to this weekend. ⚙️

If it fails, I'll reactive my account @thisven and in any case post a hello world. 💬

But as there's no unified migration process, you'd probably need to re-do follow requests. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. 🙏

Gig and musician related promotion on the fediverse? I'm having to spin up our other social profiles and it is EXHAUSTING. I don't feel the tone is right for the fediverse either. Also, I only have the show as an fb link right now - thoughts? Genuinely interested in what #Musodon and #MastoMusicians think about this.
