@Ghosty Flashed my Kindle Fire HDX with Lineage recently. Might Run the same on my OnePlus 3
@kelbot I have had one but never really used it the way others do. thought and still think its entirely pointless and stupid. I have deleted my facebook account quite some years ago and never looked back. I personally believe that a social media platform like facebook is incredibly bad for a persons mental health.
@Senlis I can count on a penguin's fingers how many times i've received an email that needed to be verified. I've played with GPG and email once or twice, but never stick with it. YMMV. I say go with what you like.
@BryanLunduke Great stuff! Can't see paying $299 for the commercial version, much less even $99 for the personal for what is essentially outdated tech when Linux is so much more advanced at this point. I'm a nut for nostalgia though. Many memories dredged up.
@raingloom my bad. I was confusing codeblocks with something online. Yeah, in that case, it's kind of silly. I only take continuing education classes frequently, but last time I took a class, students had local admin rights and the capability to run what they wanted. Also had the capabilities to run VMs with VMware on the workstations so we could run literally anything.
@raingloom I have a good friend that teaches tech classes. He was going to teach a beginning coding class that goes over 20 different languages and does the equivalent of "Hello World" and some basics in all of them. He originally wanted the class to use Atom since it was cross platforrm and free. Head of dept nixed the idea in favor of Eclipse so students are ready for later Java classes. Point being, there's a reason they're using Codeblocks. It's because 9 of 10 in that class DGIF.
@seasharp One benefit of regional VPN endpoints... Bypass region blocks.

Say what you will about mastodon's shortcomings, Instances are an absolute top feature.

The extra degree of voluntary affiliation/sub-setting (?words) is powerful and informative. I struggle to think of a Twitter equivalent.
