I have set the world record for the most tabletop games per square centimeter in my latest game collection: The Most Tabletop Games per Square Centimeter. I am proud of all of these games, but my favorite is probably Who Gave the Halflings a Ray-Gun?!, which is a game about halflings on a fantasy quest to destroy an evil artifact and also they have a ray-gun.
If you want to play that or any of the 10 games in this collection, they’re available at https://thatonegm.itch.io/the-most.

Hmm, I've seen a little spike in views, downloads, and purchases for my games in the past two weeks. I don't know what is causing it, but I'm not complaining! I love my games, and I'm always happy for more folks to get the chance to play them. :)
Holy smokes! I finally beat Margitt in #EldenRing! Thanks to my Spirit Jellyfish, who died moments before I struck the killing blow.
So cool to see the explosion of #TTRPG folks onto Mastodon the last couple of weeks. I'm excited to see what folks are up to in the community. What are you all playing? What are you designing? What are you enjoying?

I heard some extremely good #RPGDesign advice from a corporate creative podcast this week. (Working towards a promotion in a corporate atmosphere has led to me reading and listening to a bunch of self-help and professional stuff this year.)

Anyway, the advice was to ignore the first few ideas you have for a project. Spend time digging deeper and following threads to the end. It's helpful for me, because I often create such small projects that I don't spend much time on below-the-surface ideas.

What is the right size for a small #TTRPG for you? Something smaller than a hardcover tome but bigger than a two-page microRPG.

Ideally, this game would contain: #RPG safety tools, setting details, character generation info (including classes, skill lists, gear lists, and/or playbooks), gameplay mechanics, Story Guide material (including NPCs and session ideas), and character advancement.

This and other #RPGDesign questions are rattling around my brain this weekend.

I was just reminded of my favorite thing in all of #mathematics, which is the final sentence of Pierre de Fermat's "Last Theorem." It was written in the margin of a book, and he made a claim about the sums of powers, but he didn't provide a mathematical equation to prove it. Instead, he wrote this absolute gem below the claim:

"For this, I have found a truly wonderful proof, but the margin is too small to contain it."

I have some really fun, totally free #MicroRPGs over on ThatOneGM.itch.io.

- Four Sherlock Holmes and a Vampire (Who Is Also One of the Aforementioned Sherlock Holmes)
- Build Your Own RPG
- Tentacular Spectacular
- Level Grind
- Lotuspunk
- Tank Robbery
- Journey Home
- Enigma LLC
- Get 'Em!

I'm looking for other #RPG and #TTRPG players and designer to follow here. Anyone do any #RPGDesign?

I play a weekly Masks: A New Generation game on #Twitch and I design #MicroRPGs such as #FourSherlockHolmesAndAVampire and #IHopeThisAllPansOut.

You can see my games at https://thatonegm.itch.io/ and you can tune in to Capes in the Dark on Mondays at 8:30 pm (Eastern) at https://www.twitch.tv/nowsayers.
