Hello Fediverse friends! 👋 I wrote a blog post on Jeff Koons‘ "Apollo Kithara," currently on display at Liebieghaus in Frankfurt. The piece also discusses the interrelation between art and technology and the fascination technological objects can evoke. Hope you enjoy reading it 😊 https://tamaragupper.de/blog/

Welcome to my website!

I started my two-month adventure as a visiting Ph.D. researcher at the Danish School of Education in Copenhagen this week! Can't wait to meet up with many scholars with similar academic interests located here!

My puppy: *Has a complex inner life, actual emotions, expectations for its future, relationships*

Humans: Nah animals are just automatons and you can't be sure, so they get no moral status

An AI: Copies back probabilistically generated copies of parts of the internet

Humans: Omg I think we need to consider giving it full human moral status, authorship credit, a professorship, a seat in parliament, all the legal protections of a human AND a corporation, and the respect normally given to deity

And it was great to meet you in person @jahapaula! :))
Today was the first day of the conference of the Finnish Anthropological Society in Rovaniemi. It is super interesting to learn more about the ways humans relate to non-humans in various contexts, and I am very much looking forward to talking about human-technology relations this Thursday!

‘Testing to Circulate. Addressing the Epistemic Gaps of Software Testing’ by @AnjaKlein , Libuše H. Vepřek, Sarah Thanner, Mace Ojala, Rebecca Carlson & @tgupper - a working group focused on methodologies for studying code in ethnographic research. Or the the Code Ethnography Collective

Our (the Code Ethnography Collective) paper on epistemic gaps in software testing is coming up in the last session at #STSHubDe. At this point of the conference I am overly tired and overly caffeinated but still quite excited!
I am very excited for #STShubDE to start today! Can't wait to meet many colleagues in person for the first time, and get a better grasp of the STS community in and around Germany :)
