The US Supreme Court lost its minimal remaining credibility when it decided Bush v. Gore over 20 years ago. Even without Dobbs, the court has moved to lawlessness. Granting a stay on Title 42 is one of the best examples. This Trump program is set to expire on its own terms and yet Roberts extended it in a one-judge order to mess with the Biden Administration.
This is not law.
Whoever he’d pick would be as bad as he is but no one will listen to that person as closely. So at least there’s that.
