I wanna brag about my players a little: after a good showing in a loss against Montréal, we beat Hamilton and Toronto to get a rematch with one of the host teams tomorrow morning.
Our final game might have been our best game of the day, despite everyone being completely exhausted. The amount of focus and determination that took - especially to go up against a team that on paper should have cleaned our clocks - was legendary and they should all be proud.
Who has two thumbs and just coached a team into the second day of Beast of the East?

@mym I intend to use them a bit anyway, but yeah, I'll be spec'd much harder into int and faith so they won't scale well either. SoNaF can also benefit from the two-hand talisman.
I expect there to be some nice int scaling weapons like Helfen's Steeple and Death's Poker that I'll be able to use that will work well with my build (at least when I get a few more points of str/dex).
I'm doing an int/faith run and it was fun to see how quickly I could both (a) get SoNaF and (b) wield it without significant sequence breaks* but by far the most interesting part of the run has been having to get runes by beating bosses when most boss attacks one-shot me.
Imagine actually being scared of an Erdtree Avatar. In Liurnia. Low vigor + naked gaming is something else!
* I did go pop Greyoll to get the last few levels, but haven't been to Altus yet
