Online content is too ephemeral, and I think it's extremely important to collect physical media. We need to hold on to grimoires written in moss, the whisperings of gnarled seashells, bigfoot bones inscribed with arcane symbols, eldritch chants trapped in mason jars.

FYI you can take a video in Snapchat, mute the sound (from within SC), then use the save -> save to camera roll feature to just have it as a plain mp4 file than can be uploaded to Mastodon. Video files without audio track play as GIFs on Mastodon.
