I’m not arguing, I’m just explaining why I’m right.

@LoganFive I never understood this. I always want a fresh session. There's a reason why you can favorite pages...

I find it incredibly annoying when the browser exits once you close the last tab.
Luckily, #firefox has a toggle to disable that.
#chromium not so much (there's an addon, but it just reopens the browser 🤮), which is why I'm sticking with the #mozilla

@cmconseils Cat mom, you say?

@arstechnica Is this really about gambling though?
To me it sounds like yet another angle of "use ID verification or else..."

Just read the claim:
- violent games harm children
- children are exposed to gambling

Personally, I think it's disgusting how children are used as a trojan horse.
Especially when those changes barely even do anything to protect them more.

@eff Isn't this besides the point?
It should be: Why is this information available for sale in the first place?
Who allowed you to collect it?
And maybe: Do you want the top or bottom bunk bed in your new prison cell?
@hyevans He kind of is though.
Musk engineered a system where the most inflammatory voices are the most visible and the most rewarded.
This is the final, most extreme evolution of what traditional media has been doing for decades, and they're mad he can profit off of it.

@rbreich To vote where I live you get assigned a number for a district. You show that number and a valid ID at the booth before they cross you off the list and hand you a ballot.
If you can't make it there in person, you can vote by mail, but you have to request a mail-in ballot beforehand.

How is this arrangement controversial?
Because only eligible people get assigned a number?

"If it was real, they'd be talking about it on TV" is one of the most scary things I've heard in a while.
@akareilly I'd rather be called a stupid fucking idiot by the maintainer for asking a dumb question.
With a CoC you constantly have to decipher patronizing, passive aggressive responses to know where you are.
That's just me, of course. People who love gossip and talking behind someone's back feel right at home, I'd wager.
@EUCommission Last time I checked, deaf / hearing-impaired, or mute individuals "can" also use 112, but each country treats them differently, often encouraging them to use a dedicated App or other services / numbers instead.
Has this been streamlined already, or is this still as opaque as it used to be?
