PreCheck:

*88% of travelers move through PreCheck in less than 5 minutes. (Clear didn't provide a number for comparison.)

*Requires application, in-person interview, background check and fingerprints.

Clear:

*$189 per year.

*Requires online sign-up, as well as an iris and thumbprint scan.
