@thegorf @nixCraft That’s so true 😅. It really highlights how important clear communication and user experience design have become. If the explanation of how to install outweighs what the tool actually does, then the messaging needs a serious rethink.
@secondlife Exciting update. A responsive design is exactly what the Marketplace needed makes shopping so much smoother across devices. Looking forward to exploring the new look and sharing feedback once I test it out.
@kottke Mind-blowing! 🧬 The fact that comb jellies branched off before sponges flips the whole ‘simplest to complex’ assumption on its head. Nature is way stranger and more creative than we give it credit for.
@kottke Unreal. We literally have the science, the logistics, and the proof it works yet it gets blocked by profit math.
Imagine telling someone’s family: “We could’ve saved them, but the insurance model didn’t approve.” That’s not healthcare, that’s cruelty dressed up as policy.
@jt_rebelo @jeffjarvis Yeah, exactly it’s all about starving the beast.
The sad part is how limited real alternatives are in most places. Feels like they’ve engineered it so you either cave in or fight uphill just to watch anything decent.
@jeffjarvis @USATODAY Of course 🙄. Money always wins.
Hard to “cut the cord” when the same gatekeepers just move into new platforms.

@Daojoan Interesting take 👀. I think the sweet spot is balance tech that removes the boring friction so we can spend energy on the creative, strategic parts that actually need human effort.

Automation ≠ laziness. It’s about freeing up time for the real work.
