@doc @xtaldave When people have their basic needs met, they have more time to think, pursue passions, and will ultimately very likely feel happier.
None of these things benefit the system we live in, which thrives on the fact many of us don't have time to reflect on (and improve) that system, are distracted by the latest fear narrative, and have to live paycheck to paycheck.
I think that has a lot to do with why these obviously beneficial initiatives aren't pushed
