Of course, the periodicity is *there* in the usual periodic table, but it seems like more of an accident there. Seeing this visualization is a little bit like seeing a globe after only ever seeing 2D maps.
Spent the day trying to rid the boat of some of its old electronic cruft that it had collected over its lifetime. So far so good, but there’s some cabling that’s super hard to reach, nothing to do but snip it off and leave it for another day. Some of the previous owners have been very… inventive when it came to cable placement and cable choices, and leaving disconnected spools everywhere. Also, not the first time I’ve had to remove multicore housing wire from a boat…
