I haven’t been over here in a couple of years, but the Mastodon app seems to suck pretty badly. After I look at someone’s profile, the home feeds are all blank. The only way to get them back is to close and reopen the app. I used to use Toot. What’s the preferred iOS app these days?

The feeds disappear after I post, too 🤦🏼‍♀️
@windingdot Here’s what it looks like in my account settings. Apparently everything still works, but they won’t show “adult content” or allow direct messaging if you haven’t complied

@patradio Yep, that’s where I signed up years ago. I haven’t seen any of your stuff over the past few days until today. I’m sure they’re still working the kinks out, but I agree, it’s frustrating
@rockmastermike @fonzette The messaging on the home screen when there’s nothing to see is misleading. It implies you’re not following anyone, which is not true for everyone who sees it. Edge case, but I’m sure a lot of people who set up and forgot about a Mastodon account years ago are experiencing it
@rockmastermike That makes a lot of sense! I'm guessing that must be what happened, and it won't happen again, at least to me ;)
Using the Mastodon iOS app, and I feel super dumb but I can’t find my feed. When I click the home button it asks me to find people to follow, as if I don’t follow anyone. Under search, Posts seems to be a general feed, not those I follow
