That’s a wrap on #ggj24. In 48 hours my team has built a game that includes cross-device multiplayer, internet relay, dynamic laughter recognition, WebGL microphone handling (on mobile!) and photogrammetry. And it actually works.
We’ll take those certifications of insanity now, please.
Two related questions for computer graphics people:
1. is it true that ray/line/whatever intersection tests are common in interviews?
2. how common are questions of this nature, where you have equations memorized?🤔
(boosts appreciated pls)
Well that was easier than I expected. RPi Zero 2 W, Camera Module 3, about 4 hours of fiddling around (mostly getting my PC with a microSD card reader to work…), one hiccup with partition size that was easily fixed, and I have my own improvised IP camera, streaming video over RTMP to ffplay on my desktop.
Need to see if I can improve the latency - right now there’s about a 1sec delay on the stream - and get it into OBS in the most efficient manner.
End of the most stressful ~2 weeks of my career at Unity.
Happy that I made a difference; frustrated that it was necessary in the first place. And there's still plenty more to do.
