In one media article after another we read about how Threads and Bluesky are "decentralized social media platforms." Guess what, you are not "decentralized" if you only have one "centralized" server.

Can we please stop giving #Bluesky and #Threads #Meta credit for being #decentalized platforms when all they have done is announce the intention to actually someday be decentralized. Both are currently entirely #centralized corporate platforms.

@tikli Keeping the streak going actually gave me stress because I couldn't go on holiday or do any activities that would take the whole day without worrying about duolingo T_T that platform is just not for me...

It's not really a tip, but more of a quirky way to use Masto : I've been bookmarking some users by making one-user lists with their name, so I can check on specific people even if my timeline is VERY active.
That way, each user appears under my lists on the right sidebar, and I can just click on the list named after them to see what's up.
I mostly use it for mutuals who don't post a lot, so they don't get drowned out by the rest.
