Dance like everyone else can go fuck themselves.
This is the most helpfully packaged box of screws I've ever seen, by a large margin. I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate whomever was responsible for such a triumph of utility and empathy.

The state of California is warning 23andMe customers to delete their data because odds are good that the company is going to go bankrupt.

If I were you I would prioritize doing this.

Politicizing masks has done untold amounts of harm.

First mask mandates were dropped in healthcare, leading to countless preventable infections.

Then the regular harassment of maskers began.

Then Vance’s federal ban on mask mandates.

Now it’s mask bans. They’re criminalizing a medical device. These bans will cost lives.

How does anyone write a whole article about WFH advantages/policy etc and never mention disabled workers/disabled family of abled workers 🫠

Paging the Fediverse! I've been out of work since the middle of 2024 and would like to change that :-)

I'm a software engineer of more than 25 years' experience. Most recently, I have been doing back end work using TypeScript, Ruby, and Java. I've worked at an ISP, at a national broadcaster, a high-volume web SaaS provider, and a medtech startup; I've led teams, been a tech lead, and been an at-the-coalface coder.

Do you know of somewhere that could use my experience? I'm a British citizen living in Denmark, and I'd strongly prefer not to have to move. Yet.

Can you help me #GetFediHired / #FediHired? Boost please, etc. Thank you :-)

I do not know how much more clearly I can say this to the small businesses and managed service providers I speak with every day: there is no one coming to save you.
