@kityates We saw patients lying on a corridor floor in Manchester in A&E a week before Christmas. I’ve nothing but praise for the clinical staff, and they shouldn’t be expected to work under this pressure. #savethenhs
@kityates In a reflection on the year, I used Trump’s quote (15 June 2020) “If we stop testing for COVID we'd have very few cases, if any”. Ironically in 2022, for counting cases, that seems to have come true 🙄😣
@nisreen completely agree. We did a small Thanksgiving dinner (for the first time) for an American, with two Iranians, an Argentinian and a Cambodian. Our lives are richer for such a cultural tapestry. 👍🏼
@krishgm - thanks for sharing. I didn’t know this about Gaza 😣 Tragic.
@deborahmeaden - hi, I followed you on Twitter. Great to have you here.
@BarbaraRomeril No, I doubt they will. The impact of lockdowns, deaths, long term harm to the education of our kids and young people and businesses lost from Covid were all politically damaging, and even masks were seen as an infringement of personal rights. Vaccines and vaccinations were the off-ramp, which they took. Weighed against all this, #longcovid is not vote winner, so few politicians will be brave enough to go there. @SusanMichie ?
