Well said 👏 👏
I grew up as a brown kid in 1970s/80s and whilst things aren't quite as bad as they were then (and even improved by late 1980s) I really think this country is partly sliding back to those times - OTOH multiculturalism is more entrenched today out of sheer necessity, such as those of us who now work in health and social care (I'm not a frontline healthcare worker but keep the computers and telephones running)
The problem I see here is "we're full" is a simple answer to a complicated problem, and thus will be lapped up the patrons of certain publications.
I'm not even sure that it comes from a place of overt racism for some people, they just believe its the only way that they can improve services in this country, which is obviously an enormous lie, but its currently one that flies, and its certainly being pushed by racists, as well as the government that are using it to cover their (...)
@nisreen own lack of action.
Until more people see things getting worse with less immigration, then they are not going to see through that lie, however, and we will continue to see crap like "oh not *you*, *you're* one of the good ones" or demonisation of entire countries populations as they are apparently only coming over here to take advantage of clearly non-existent benefits. It honestly makes me ashamed of my country to see this happening here, we're all just bloody humans after all.
@nisreen

The following discussion completely changed her mind.
