Just saw a robotaxi run a red light. In a short amount of time they will be hurting people. The tech and street infra are not ready
A time-traveling multiverse environment will feel believable enough, even though much of it is made up, which of course is true of any historical or archeological account today.
It dawned on me that AI + VR tech will advance and analyze enough archeological and historical data to make time travel a reality (virtually, that is)

Not going to lie, Twitter killing off free API access hits me in the feels. I remember with great affection the flood of creativity that happened after we opened up the API, and it's heartbreaking to see that unceremoniously strangled.

I'm relieved that we've got better alternatives, though. While this is perhaps the final straw for many bots on Twitter, it's been a long time coming and the API has long been hobbled compared to the early days. Open protocols or bust. ✊

OpenAI's new tool to detect AI-written text correctly spotted 26% of AI-written text, while falsely identifying 9% of human-written text as AI-written.

One way of interpreting this: AI isn't yet good enough to reliably identify AI content.
