After a frustrating week, my #FridayReads is Rest Is Resistance by Tricia Hersey. Reading both in audio and ebook so I can make highlights.

@transbookstodon Hi. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but could anyone give me a recommendation for an informational book about polyamory? A good friend of mine recently started dating someone who's married and I have a lot of questions but also don't want to pry. I remember seeing a rec on the bird site a couple years ago but can't remember the title.

Thanks.

Since I didn't share my #FridayReads on the appropriate day, and because today is #WorldBookDay, I'll share that I'm reading Spellwright by Blake Charlton (a book about a dyslexic wizard; there are a lot of other disabled characters too) and The Electricity of Every Living Thing by Katherine May, a travel log/memoir of a woman walking along the Southwest coast of England while coming to terms with being neurodivergent. @bookstodon
Hi @bookstodon. I've been in a real reading slump lately, which has made me think a lot about themes or topics I don't like in books/stories. Does anyone have recs for quiet, interpersonal stories or stories where the MC does some self-discovery? Fiction preferred. Thanks!

Amigues hispanohablantes, me podéis recomendar algún juego de palabras semejante al www.palabreja.com? Éste me gusta, pero casi siempre la letra central es la misma varias veces por semana, y además me gustaría probar diferentes letras en un sólo día.

I just found out it's ace day, so happy day to my fellow asexuals. :heart_ace:
I went out and sat on my deck for around 20 min this afternoon, and actually paid attention to the birds in the yard: sparrows (house and song), robin, chickadee, cardinal, house finch, and a mourning dove who added an extra note after the typical song (coo-ah-coo-coo-coo...coo)
Just to check, I brought up Merlin sound ID and as I was recording a sample, two house sparrows got into a territorial disagreement. I caught it on the recording and laughed out loud. Am happy to share if anyone wants.
Bright robin song outside the front door this morning. :)
Relatedly, and due to some other things, I am really not in a great place mentally. I'm kinda glad I'm punching things tomorrow, and then therapy's on Wednesday.
