I'm also listening to 'Foxglove Summer' by Ben Aaronovitch on audio.
These books also do a great job with world building and I love Grant as our POV character. He just has a great charm and perspective. Too bad he's a cop though. That bit always gives me pause when I think of these books.
This week I'm rereading 'Neuromancer' by William Gibson.
This is for another book discussion next week and the 2nd time I've read it in as many years.
What I enjoy most in this book is the world that Gibson builds for it. It's not a world I would want to live in (though we're closing in on that sadly), but his prose is almost poetic about it in a sad lovely way.
I really should (re)read Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive.
Weβve got another one from Napanee Correspondent Brenda Hogg. I hope you enjoy reason number seven Greater Napanee is greater: The Napanee River.

Finally, I started 'Foxglove Summer' by Ben Aaronovitch
Rather fun to be back in the Rivers of London books. Aside from the whole cop-centrism thing, these are some real great urban fantasy.
I also just finished 'Excession' by Iain M. Banks on audio.
This may be my favorite of the Culture books so far, although I think I need to go and read it in print as I feel I may have missed a lot of stuff as my concentration is largely on driving.
This week I'm reading 'Nightshade & Oak' by Molly O'Neill.
It's a historic fantasy set immediately after Boudica's rebellion in Roman Britain. The ancient goddess responsible for shepherding lost souls to the beyond is accidentally made mortal and goes on a saga-like adventure with one of Boudica's daughters to reclaim her powers.
It's light reading, though has its darkness in places.
