@rtyler This was a fun read.

I'm also quite surprised about their choice to use the `PutObject` API and rather come up with a different API here. The semantics of providing the offset-bytes feels a bit onerous tbh.

PS: enjoyed your talk the other day. Nice to meet you here in the Fediverse.

Woke up to my car battery drained out since the trunk was not closed properly overnight! Why doesn’t the trunk light or even the headlights actually get hooked up to a secondary battery? Isn’t it a single point of failure!?

Oh god the passive aggressive emojis on here is a complete riot!

Opening up the kernel source code and looking at the sk_buff after around 7 years. Wow! Quite a few interesting changes.

And I should say I love this! :)

#Cpp folks - what are some of the most esoteric features you use on a daily basis in the language?

Almost everyone I talk to in real life has a small subset identified and very carefully stay within the fence.

@bcantrill Eventually the novelty would wear off and people would move on to other things.
Always, simply doing is better than talking!
@bsletten Whattt! That settles the deal for sure! :D
@geewiz Thanks for your reply, Jochen.

Folks who are into #Ruby and #Rails , would you recommend starting with it in 2022? What are some cons with these? And if one has to start, where do you begin?

Asking for myself. It's been > a decade since I worked on Ruby and Rails. So I have little to no context on the ecosystem these days.
