At a certain point, science is about looking at the world with curiosity and asking "Why?", not taking doctrine and insisting "Because." Science is not meant to dictate reality to others, but to try to find out the nature of reality. If someone says "that's not what science says," it's because your assertion does not fit ALL of the known facts.
