This is mind-boggling: "The average American consumes about 127 kilograms of meat a year compared with 7 kilograms in Nigeria and just 3 kilograms in the Democratic Republic of Congo, according to the FAO data. The Eat-Lancet Commission recommends people consume no more than 15.7 kilograms of meat a year. "
(for Finland it is ca. 80 kg per capita).
As a minimum, we could start from lowering the meat consumption to a level that is _healthy_...

Dr. Gladys West grew up in 1930s VA. She had limited opportunities as a black girl in the south, but went on to become a mathematician.
