Blimey, I really did a number on my foot. It's becoming increasingly colourful day by day as the bruising comes out.
@WhombeX Bare metal on the nose, pylons and a few other places still looked shiny and new. Flightradar24 reckons the plane is just 12 months old.

Weekly Update from the Open Journal of Astrophysics – 20/12/2025

@WhombeX I've never liked SUVs so from my point of view the Sealion 7 is just an unnecessarily tall, heavy and inefficient Seal 😉 It's missing the Seal whisker DRLs, too.

I can see the appeal of the Seal 06GT hatch, though

@ThoraiyaDyer As long as they get us out of here before Sydney Airport's 11 pm curfew stops us then I'm not going to get upset about it. There's currently about an hour of margin for that so we should be OK.
At Sydney Airport again for another round of "guess how delayed your Jetstar flight is going to be". The departure board is currently saying 40 minutes, and given that the plane that will be flying us to Brisbane has just left Brisbane to come to Sydney that seems plausible.

@forpeterssake Yes, the bike is alright. Some minor scrapes on the brake lever, handlebar plug and kick stand down the left side, but that seems to be about it.

Huh, maybe this is going to be OK after all.

After staying off my left foot all of yesterday evening and overnight (I was fortunate that we had a pair of old crutches lying around the house to help with that) it is feeling much better today. There's a very vivid bruise coming through on the underside and side of my foot, but it seems that nothing is broken at least.

I am a bit confused how I managed to give my foot such a wallop through my stiff cycling shoes, but clearly I did.

Oh well. Rest, icing, maybe some more ibuprofen, and hopefully I'll be fit to travel tomorrow.

I haven't played D&D or anything like it in about 30 years, nor do I have any plans to do so, but nonetheless I want a D20 like this one! This guy cuts beautiful dice from various stones/gems/crystals and both the process and results are fascinating.
