Iโ€™m starting a new role at Apple!

Today, I moved from Software Engineering to Developer Relations. Iโ€™m an App Technologies Evangelist representing SwiftUI and related frameworks.

After nearly five years on the engineering team, Iโ€™m thrilled to be able to spend more time with the developer community, while continuing to support SwiftUI.

@nomeat_today wanted to wipe the slate clean, but deleting their iCloud-backed data proved trickier than expected.

I've written a short tutorial with the steps that worked for them.

How to delete an app and all iCloud/CloudKit data

We hear a lot about the difficulties of backing up Core Data / SwiftData with CloudKit. But on the other hand, when it works, CloudKit does its job well: it's very difficult to lose data, so much so that doing so voluntarily is not trivial. One of my No Meat Today

Using AspirinShot (@aspirinshot) by @sowenjub to set up my new screenshots for different device sizes and languages, using SwiftUI. These designs look pretty basic but you can get fancier.
Moving forward it should be a lot easier getting updated screenshots as the app evolves. Also, no longer neglecting dedicated screenshots for some of the supported languages.
I recommend checking it out!
Really curious to see whoโ€™s building Interactive widgets in #iOS17
