I've slowly been moving to privacy focused and self hosted tech wherever possible. Paperless-ngx and appflowy over Evernote. Immich over google photos. Audiobookshelf over pocketcasts. Nextcloud over Dropbox. Proton over Gmail. Duckduckgo over google. Jellyfin for movies. FreshRSS for feeds. Still struggling with legal options for ebooks and audiobooks but working on that.

What else am I missing for de-productizing my life?

⚠️ Looks like Sonoma's new annoying emoji popup interstitial is enabled by feature flag! Which means you can nuke it from orbit (it's the only way to be sure). Reboot after:

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/UIKit.plist emoji_enhancements -dict-add Enabled -bool NO

Your time was not wasted. You may have procrastinated but that's only because you are really burnt out, and besides it's not all bad. You probably got some ideas, inspiration, or something from it. And besides sometimes it's ok to take a break. You don't have to be "useful" all the time. It's ok. You tried your hardest and that's enough, and whatever you did today you will learn from for tomorrow and be better. Also you are not worth what you can output pat pat ​​

This is mostly a note to myself but also something I think some of you may need to hear and accept like me.
