The world exists within you. If you think everyone is evil, you will see evil in the world. If you think everyone is essentially good, you will see the good. Evil exists in the good. Good exists in the evil.
People do evil things in the hope of good outcomes. People do good things for evil ends.
Of course some people are just evil by nature and others are good, these are so rare that we could probably name them. The rest of us exist in a world of everyday acts of kindness and betrayals.
ONLY HE CAN TURN DOWN THE TEMPERATURE
No one has done more to frame American politics in violent terms than Donald Trump, explain @gilduran and @georgelakoff

In the longterm all authoritarian regimes fail. But they only fail because they are resisted and there in lies the pain and hardship, the suffering. I’m not going to lie, things are going to unpredictable and unpleasant in so many ways.
However, it’s times of resistance that create community and solidarity.
Find your people and create something better. You got this.
Trump’s going to call for retribution. He’s going to call any opposition as tantamount to advocating for violence. He’s going to encourage his audience to fight. He’s going to create more division, more fear, more hatred.
Except this is no longer the fear of the outside, the immigrants, now it’s the internal threat that is so immediate.
He’s been given an inch, he will take a mile.
Henrietta “Etty” Darwin was born in 1843, the eldest of Charles Darwin’s daughters to reach adulthood.
She became a key editor of her father’s scientific writing, most notably The Descent of Man & Selection in Relation to Sex, published in 1871.
Charles Darwin considered Etty a “dear coadjutor, fellow-labourer” & lively member of an intellectually stimulating household. https://www.cam.ac.uk/research/news/unpublished-journal-offers-new-take-on-darwins-daughter #science #HistoryRemix
