So, you thought #COP27 was about #climate change? Wrong. Like every other COP in the past and every COP in future, the UN climate conference is about geopolitics and power.

Autocratic petrostates 🇸🇦 and 🇷🇺 suceeded in keeping out any reference to phasing out/down fossil fuels.

Here’s an idea, billionaires: if you want to engage in some “effective altruism”, the ultimate act of social generosity would be to place your wealth under democratic control.
