The other day, I visited the colonialism exhibition at Tropenmuseum, Amsterdam. Being an Indonesian (the Dutch was our colonizer), that was tough - seeing what your people went through for so long, with aftermaths that still exist today. For example, I didn't know that our problems with tobacco & palm oil industry had colonial legacy.

However, I think the exhibition is done the right way. Below are a few snapshots. I only took pics of quotes because those were what moved (or pained) me most.
