When I was younger, my father would take me to the local park to either feed the ducks frozen peas or let me spend some time running around to get out any excess energy I might have had. It’s a small place, not super huge or anything, and most of the equipment is fairly aged and worn, but it was someplace close by that I could escape to if my mother was too much, especially after my parents had separated.

I still visit the park sometimes, although it feels rather awkward considering I’m almost 30, but I owe a lot emotionally to that park for being there when I needed it, even if it is just barely a blip on anyone else’s radar.

On a more positive note, my partner and I are going to make a ground beef and pasta dish tonight, it seems. She was thinking about burgers, but we went out last week for some and didn’t want to spend more money than we had to twice in one month, so she figured something adjacent to Hamburger Helper would be a good compromise.

No particular reason I’m posting about this; just wanted to add some positivity to my feed after my last post, lol
