@RellyAB I do have backup! Or moral support, at least. But there's few of us and we're distributed. I often feel the lack of centralized ux and content functions at my work.

@klintron Thanks for posting this. I've been wondering how we keep winding up with and tolerating such ineffective and uninspired leadership in city government and this probably explains a lot of it.

@LinguaMachina Congrats on the upcoming arrival! Content Design by Sarah Richardson changed the way I think about so many things. I just received my copy of The Business of UX Writing, which I'll be diving into soon. Eagerly awaiting my copy of Content Transformation by Hinrich von Haaren.And second the mention of Strategic Writing for UX.

@Chris @LinguaMachina @samkap I second this from (vague, hazy, I barely remember it) past experience. Keep a book handy for when you're trapped in the couch beneath a sleeping baby. Disclaimer: I was sleep deprived for a long time after giving birth and did not have the attention for work-related books for a while. YMMV.

@RellyAB Hi! Info architect and recovering ontologist with a love of #UXWriting and all things #Content, desperately looking for my people. If I find enough of them, I'll likely get off my duff and post a real intro here. I do content and IA work as an internal consultant at a large enterprise run by engineers who like to "fill in the verbiage later". 😩
