Frustrated at Wemo and google home!! Is anyone else having linking issues with Wemo IOT devices in google home?
I spent good part of 2 hours on this. Basically here is my issue, I had Wemo plugs and light switches working for 2 years today they all decided not to work. I could control them through the Wemo app but I can’t control them from google home. Yes I have tried to unlink and relink but it doesn’t work inside google home. It’s almost like they added some restrictions.
@thurrott So I was recently listening to windows weekly and came across same issue where by windows operating system specifically the browsers was acting weird almost identical to your initial issues. Intermittent hangs and weird issues even in office. I initially thought this might be something to do with our ancient legacy app/DLLs. So I ended up installing windows .net runtimes from powershell (3.5). Since 4.1 and above on the system already. This helped me, good luck! (Also do the BIOS UPG)
