Alright ruby folks -- who's building apps in the open? Anyone sharing videos on YouTube or streaming as they build?

Would love to subscribe to more Youtube channels sharing in-progress and open work!

Boosts of this appreciated! 😄️

And will happily boost those who are looking to widen their audience

I published a video about a new kind of documentation: I'm calling it Cognitive Breakpoints, and I'd love to hear your thoughts.

✍️ is challenging because want to communicate a lot of detail to audiences of different backgrounds w/o overwhelming them.

📖 is hard because the author often made assumptions about what know or how deep you want to go.

What if the same document had N levels of depth so the reader could choose how deep they wanted to get into the details?

Jeffrey (@semanticart) just posted a great video diving into the updates to ruby-lsp. Worth the watch just to get a little guided tour of great LSP server code: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_u0Fvtq_ew

I found some time to fix a rare but annoying bug in my cli caching script. This script is one of my favorite toys I’ve built, honestly. It is very simple but I’ve gotten so much mileage out of it.

Every time I take my kids to the beach I have a moment where I declare I need a vacation.
@semanticart I ran in the rain to avoid breaking my streak. Wiped out hard. My knee is busted. I am a fool. Streak broken.
C25K is going alright. Week 3 was tough and Week 4 looks like it ramps up a somewhat steeply. It sounds weak to say but I'm a little afraid of going from 3 minute run intervals to 5 minutes.
@semanticart I'm really enjoying this so far. The UI isn't the best but that's not really the point.
