Congress is considering a bill that would divert tax money to school voucher programs that would benefit private and religious schools.

This bill clearly violates the separation of church and state. Federal tax money should not be diverted to finance private and religious school education. Use this action alert to tell your representatives not to support the Educational Choice for Children Act.

The Secular Coalition for America needs your help on Lobby Day to oppose a bill that would lower tax revenue by up to $10 billion and send that same amount in school vouchers to private and religious schools. Public schools across the country are already facing major challenges, including teacher shortages, inadequate funding, and declining academic performance. A nationwide school voucher program would only make things worse.

Join us on March 11th to urge your legislators to stand against this harmful bill. We'll kick off with a reception on the evening of March 10, followed by a full day of lobbying on March 11.
