scribblans is an anglicised spelling of the Cornish word 'skryblans', meaning a scribble/doodle.

Would rather be out walking on a clifftop with my dog.
Possibly I am, right now.
In #Cornwall, near England

Anything else?

Hats are nice.

Been posting on my @scribblans account for a week.

I haven't moved my account because I didn't want to leave toot.community, but I have imported my follows to make it familiar (and many of you followed that, thank you).

I think with how flaky firefish was at times, it was as well to have at least two fediverse ac's, but it's stable, and improving features fast on #iceshrimp now.

Anyway, if you *do* have me in a list, or only follow my toots here, you probably think I died.
I haven't yet.

Morning weather report in #575Verse #haiku

Rain. Rain rain rain rain.
Cold. Cold cold cold cold cold. Rain.
Wait... No. It's more rain.

(Note: I've posted this one before, but oddly it's suitable again)

Dog walked (in the rain, lovely - why yes, you do detect a hint of sarcasm there...) lunch done - now there's a difficult Sunday afternoon choice #today.

- Fall into the land of forty winks with football commentary on the radio,
or
- a siesta with whispering commentators and the soothing snicking of snooker on telly?

It boils my piss how common being a selfish arsehole is amongst people who drive cars. The overwhelming majority of paved infrastructure is devoted to them but no, that's not enough, they're entitled to even more. They should get to drive as fast as they want and anyone else is not a fellow infrastructure user, but an imposition on them.

Whether I'm driving or a pedestrian I'm surrounded by these self-centred children. They need to be reminded that a car is a privilege, not a right.

A few emails #today about special Black Friday deals on upgraded subscriptions for some of the apps I've tried out on the free tier and forgotten about since, so it's been a useful prompt for me to follow the links, log in and delete the account.
I think one of the most valuable life lessons I learned from watching #DoctorWho as a child is that the solution to dealing with life's biggest and scariest monsters often begins with gathering a few friends around you and then getting everyone to run away from the monsters as fast as you can.
The conjunction of Jupiter, the moon and the street lamp 🙄

Bloody hell, shopping online...
NO! I am not going to 'create an account', giving you my name, address, email and phone number (*required fields indeed), just to buy a box of chocolates for my wife.

What, you have no alternative at all? No Quick checkout, Paypal etc...

OK, cancel basket, and use contact form to tell you why you failed. Maybe you'll learn.

Target practice with tracer. Just you wait until they all concentrate their fire.
And use the big gun.

‘What the heck is going on?’ Extremely high-energy particle detected falling to Earth
