New novel progress: wrote 1,021 words today. I'm 68,974 words into this first draft. Cooking with gas now!
Boilerplate, impersonal, rejection letters from literary journals are the worst. Ugh. Not sure how to make that process better. Just sucks. Moving on.
My step-son is home from college and he brought a massive pile of laundry and has done his best impression of Pac-man in my kitchen. I remember doing the same thing when I was in college. Nice to see things haven't changed!

New novel progress: wrote 1,224 words yesterday on my lunch break. I'm 65,727 words into this first draft. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! End goal for this WIP = 80,000 words.
I don't post much about political things, not because I don't have opinions, but because I'm no expert on such things. But there used to be a time when Nazis & antisemites & racists were universally reviled. What's more American than hating on Nazis? For any group--political, social, civic, whatever--to not denounce Nazis is bullshit. Denounce Nazis! Otherwise, you're a Nazi friend.
