Een paar jaar geleden nog zijn instrumentaal nummer Tristesza bewerkt en van tekst voorzien (met zijn goedkeuring):
Have you tried using it with an iPad?
Some minor annoyances:
- Cmd-comma for preferences doesn’t work in most apps (it does in Firefox).
- Open tabs in Safari tend to reload frequently when you revisit them, which sometimes messes up the content.
- I miss spaces to switch between (combinations of) apps.
- Connecting a monitor doesn’t give you extra screen space, just the same small screen but bigger (working on a regular iPad 10).
- The Gmail app doesn’t support secondary clicks.
@sietse To find out how hard (or easy) it actually is to use an iPad for common tasks like following tutorials, moving around files and folders, text manipulation, switching between apps, ...
It's not fair to just try it out superficially and compare it to a machine where al your muscle memory and years of experience are there to help you. So I'm putting the Mac aside for a couple of days and I'm really diving in. Like I said: not easy, but better than expected.
Been forcing myself to iPad only for a couple of days, all while setting up a new Synology, migrating and organizing all the data and migrating Plex server from an old Mac mini to the new NAS.
First two impressions: 1. connecting a keyboard and mouse is a game changer and 2. overall it's going better than expected
