“But there is one thing that I can do all by myself.”

“What is that?” asked Frog.

“I can go home,” said Toad. “Winter may be beautiful, but bed is much better.”
I'm responsible for a 3 year old today. So naturally we got up and had hot cocoa and chocolate bars for our breakfast appetizer. Now on to bacon and pancakes.
I need to find a browser extension to install on my dad's computer that blocks conspiracy sites. This is exhausting ...

I used to read said book when it arrived every year. :P

@scba Assuming he grew up in the states, for someone who lived in a time when a book would get dropped at your door every so often that would contain everybody's name and address, it is interesting that that was what he keyed into. Maybe it might be worth taking him on a tour of Google to show him all the things that are out there about him.

Glad it could have been much worse. It IS cruel and unfair. And these days you don't need to be close to 80 to fall for them. It's a good reminder to all of us.

Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Those who prevent you from learning about history fully intend on repeating it.

My dad fell for a scam call. As far as scams go, it could have been much worse. But they knew his name and his address, so he assumed they must be legit. I'm not sure how to convince somebody who's nearly 80 that everybody knows everything about you and you should trust nobody. It seems cruel and unfair. :(
